When we talk about college costs, we split them into two buckets: direct and indirect costs.
Butler sets direct costs—the tuition, room, board, and fees paid by students.
Indirect costs include things such as books, supplies, costs to get to and from campus, and other items (like tickets to watch the Pacers, or an afternoon at Newfields).
The standard full-time undergraduate student budget used to determine financial aid eligibility is outlined below. For more information about undergraduate, graduate, and part-time tuition rates, please see the complete fee schedule available from the Office of Student Accounts.

Whether you’re a prospective high school student just starting the college search or you’re down to your final college decision and Butler’s in the running, we’re here to help you through each step of the financial aid process.
